Walmart Neighborhood Market

I just remembered something from my trip to Dallas I thought I might show you.
Did anyone know there was such a thing as the Walmart Neighborhood Market? I had never heard of them before, until we went there at our trip to Dallas. It's apparently a Walmart Supercenter with all the Walmart stuff taken out. So, really, it's just a grocery store. I had never seen these before, and I thought it was so interesting that Walmart, which is really just a generic department store, is making money off of a branch off a branch. Walmart never intended to sell food at the Walmart, but that's what they do at the Supercenters, just because it could make more money. Now, they're rolling out something that, if the Supercenters weren't even made, would have nothing to do with Walmart.

And get this: They're making something else that's the same thing! The new "Marketside" is the same thing as the Walmart Neighborhood Market, but it doesn't carry the Walmart label. Weird, huh?

My theory: They already dominate the discount department store industry, so there is no growth there. In order to grow, they need to move into other industries, such as groceries. Now they can spend 20-30 years growing their company until they dominate the grocery business, then move onto something else.

That could be.
